In the α timeline, she is the one who calls Yasumi has Kyon meet her at 6 PM in the SOS Brigade clubroom. The best part of his characterization comes to play when he starts to question whether he prefers the supernatural world he always complained about or the normal life he wanted from the beginning. While some may find Kyon's monologues to be no different to those in the series, it should be noted that the content of his comments gradually changes overthe course fo the movie, and the culmination of this development bodes well for future releases.

Kyon is our point of view in this movie, and after Haruhi disappears, all his motivations and interactions with other characters are completely believable. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, whether it be praise or criticism.Disclaimer: JustAnime does not store any files on its server. It goes without saying the soundtrack is excellent and is used masterfully well.As far as the English Dub goes, I really have no complaints.

The majority of viewers however, may find that they enjoy the movie in a way that isn't possible with a 13 episode series. While the story itself is actually very good, there are occasions where there is a marked lack of urgency about the plot, and it's these occurences that upset the flow of the movie. Haruhi brings Koizumi into the SOS Brigade because he fulfilled her supernatural expectation of a "mysterious transfer student". Over the vacation between first and second year at North High, Haruhi meets Kyon's friend from middle school Yasumi was initially presented as a freshman candidate for the SOS Brigade, becoming the only one to pass the tests Haruhi sets forth. How she got that way comes from her motivations from the previous season, and her actions in this movie really strengthens our view of her as a character. People expecting more misadventures from the original show will be sorely disappointed in this movie’s change for a serious plot. The pacing also deserves mention. In Many usages of her powers are implied and not stated outright. Despite her lack of awareness of the paranormal adventures she is involved in, her experiences lead her to become more conscious of the adventures present in normal life and more embracing of life in general. Which neatly leads me on to the characters themselves. When it comes down to it, the writing here has moments of absolute brilliance. Its connection to the series can be, to some, a downfall, as this isn’t a standalone. Kyon begins talking to Haruhi about aliens, making him the first person there to demonstrate a common interest with her. The consequence of her ability erupting was a timequake preventing time traveling to before this point. It leaves a few plot threads dangling and a few unanswered questions by the ending (I will refrain from spoilers), and until we get more of the series animated, these plot threads will remain unanswered (unless you consult said source material).Characters: I loved the eccentric cast from the series. She has very little regard for what constitutes 'normal' behavior, and at times even purposely engages in deviant behavior in an effort to overcome a fit of boredom. Haruhi Suzumiya Voice. It was produced by Kyoto Animation and directed by Tetsuya Ishihara. Near the end of The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya, the college version of Haruhi is shown to have a relatively close relationship with the future Kyon, a revelation possibly foreshadowed by the ending of "Haruhi initially viewed Mikuru more as an object for appeal than a person, which is most clearly defined in Haruhi has taken a protective role over Nagato. It is not to be confused with the Hideaki Hatta (president), Yoko Hatta (vice-president) Voiced most times by Crispin Freeman, Tomokazu Sugita. Hopefully, movies like this will be the way forward for the franchise, as the last thing anyone needs is more Endless Eight. In Haruhi has a problem accepting praise and this may reduce Koizumi's reliability in her eyes in favor of the more silent support Kyon offers. "Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisō" (涼宮ハルヒの激奏, "The Extravagance of Haruhi Suzumiya") was a live concert event held at Omiya Sonic City on March 18, 2007 that featured songs from the anime sung by the voice actors.
