Cross has done a poor job in this respect of addressing the issue. I was hoping for a bit more of a multicolor pearly hue to it, but it is still gorgeous nonetheless and I love it. A ballpoint pen is the Initial writing instrument for all people. It ONLY takes the rollerball cartridge which only comes in a medium tip. The Century II feels larger, bolder but it is still un-mistakenly a Cross pen. Backordered Be very careful in reading and knowing what pen you buy. Century II I really like Cross pens and when the gunmetal grey came out I was more than excited to get it. If you are used to the Century pens, please note that the Century II pens are slightly different. Then take a closer look at the price.

Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. I even went to the Cross site, put in the info for the pen I bought and I still got shown the cartridges that I bought and are wrong. $137.00. It writes very smoothly and isn’t too heavy in the hand.

I like a fine tip and thought I could buy a replacement, even if it was a ballpoint. If you wrote for very long your hand might become tired or cramped. I am reconsidering. It is not dark and distinct. Super happy with this purchase, I love using it and smile when I see it.

Strange, I know, but I appreciate the beauty of this pen, and like I said, it’s a secret obsession. Backordered The box which would be nice enough but had tape (not factory tape) so removing it ripped off some of the box packaging making it look cheap for gift giving. The Century II is about .4 oz heavier than the Century, slightly wider and almost ¼” taller. The color is a beautiful pearlescent white, with an ever-so-slight shimmer. This info came from a Cross customer service person. I called Cross and they said that the finish was not covered just the mechanics of the pen. Cross Century II - Lustrous Chrome pen - 3502WG.
