Totnes Pretty Old And Interesting. Wednesday 27th. Staff and owner very friendly.Stayed recently and enjoyed a good Sunday lunch, home cooked with lamb and fresh vegetables. Popular and welcoming early 14th-c pub; lounge bar with fine medieval beam-and-plank ceiling, black oak partition wall, window seats cut into thick butter-coloured walls, woodburner in huge fireplace, look out for the ancient mummified cat, well kept Bass, Sharps Doom Bar and a guest, enjoyable good value food, also little locals' bar; background music, Sun quiz; well behaved children and dogs welcome, picnic-sets on small front terrace, old stocks (pub used to incorporate the village courthouse), limited parking, open all day The studio was clean and comfortable and very quiet with parking off road.
