Wow! I live about 25 miles away in Glendale and I drove all the way to 2nd street and Buckeye for the steaks. I pre ordered on phone, they had everything ready at the register to cash out. Absolutely THE best meat market! The animals that are raised ALL NATURAL and never fed any animal by-products. And they'll cut you anything you want right there. The Meat Shop is located at the address 202 E Buckeye Rd in Phoenix, Arizona 85004. I took a to-go menu with me so that next time I'll be better prepared; apparently they have WAY more to offer then what's shown in the case and freezer. You can call ahead and they'll get your order ready and package it however you want. Spécialités: OLD Fashioned Butcher Shop custom cutting fresh, local meat. We also have Grass Fed BEEF, Cage Free CHICKEN, Lamb & Goat.
We'll prepare the pieces in our traditional way and I'm sure it will taste great. Great product! Their pork comes from their own family farm in Palo Verde, AZ and the grass-fed beef is raised by another local ranch. I also asked for some thick cut pork chops which I stuffed with Fontina cheese for "The owner so sweet I cry Bc I lost my dumbass Fob and couldn't get back into my apt so owner walked me back home and fobbed me the biggest sweetheart the owner and employees are so freaking nice I LOVE them""My cousins and I stopped here on our way home to CA. Thank you"I walked in and was a little overwhelmed- this place was packed with specialty items and imported and domestic cold cuts.
Guanciale is cured pork jowl traditionally used in Roman style pasta carbonara. Finally we broke out the good stuff to make our own bangers and mash and it was DELICIOUS! The shop itself is rather dirty looking. We make all natural sausage including Andouille, Bratwurst, Chorizo, Hot & Sweet Italian, Cranberry-Apple, Cajun and Breakfast. I walked in after driving 25 miles and the lady said "we don't have skirt steaks but we have flat iron steaks (which looked old and nasty) I said I was told they had skirt steaks for me to purchase. I got it for $7.25 per pound. We are housed in an orange building with a laundromat to the west of us. You have the option of ordering grass fed beef or regular beef and the prices can't be beat.
They also have grass fed beefI want to give this place a better rating but I just can't.....yet.
I will have to admit that I prefer Schreiner's chorizo though. Best Bacon in town. I lived in Germany for six years so was anxious to see if this was the real deal or just another knockoff. We got bone-in rib-eye steaks, was best and of course he brought me out all three styles and each style looked tasty.!
Prices reasonnable. They are very friendly and helpful unlike some other butchers I called. The man also informed me that you can call orders in ahead of time so that it will be ready when you walk it; that's rad!

I think the problem I had here was that I didn't come for anything in particular and I felt really overwhelmed. 4 lbs of boneless shoulder? Alright, my kids aren't like other kids. The MEAT SHOP is located on Buckeye Rd. They said come on in and pick them up but only had 3 pounds left.
