Everything was great. They had ran out of 50% of the items on their menu. It’s the same beat played continuously - I think I still hear it in my sleep.

We started with 3-4 apps which were all outstanding and ordered the yellow tail, the charred octopus (sooo tender & flavorful) a filet mignon and the Mongolian tenderloin as entrees. The flavors of PAO draw upon Pan-Asian influences, a collaboration of efforts by the PAO culinary team.
Some of our group's favorites were Confit Chicken Wings, Char Sui Crispy Pork Belly, Creamy Rock Shrimp, King Crab Truffle Gnocchi and Orange Sesame Salmon. The gnocchi was awful. Service was great and the ambiance was really cool. PAO is located in the former Michigan Oriental Theater, a space so rich in cultural history, we decided to preserve Detroit’s memories as part of our dining experience. The service is good.We tried the PAO sushi roll, pad Thai & the truffle fries- all were outstanding! Food menu is compact and yet offered something for everyone in our group. The servers were below average but the manager was very friendly. I cannot wait to go back and I’ve told all of my friends to go! This old theater has been beautifully preserved as a restaurant.
Nice sexy atmosphere. The techno music is loud and annoying.
PAO Detroit - Modern Dining, Casual Elegant Pan-Asian cuisine.
They had live jazz upstairs (were were downstairs, though) which was superb. Please contact the business directly to verify hours and availability. This place doesnât take food allergies seriously and has one of the WORST services ever. Definitely one of our Top 5 places to dine in The DTabian was an excellent server... food was prepared very well and had great taste.
I had no idea that this restaurant even existed here, since I walk to LCA from the People Mover Grand Circus Park stop but not along this sidewalk. This place has the best food. The hours are 4-11 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday, 4p.m.- 1 a.m. on Thursday and 4-9 p.m. on Sunday. Would absolutely recommendWe went for a walk before a hockey game looking for someplace to dine, and stumbled upon this place. Drink menu was extensive with a great selection of sake as well as cocktails. Great music. !First, the food is absolutely amazing. Great service & great ambient for a night out with friends !This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Detroit area! My current favorite is the salmon. Can’t wait to go back.Great restaurant, great food and great environment.
It was like nursing home food. 200 in Detroit - view the menu, ⏰hours, ☎️phone number, ☝address and map. We felt like we were in Birmingham, which is the sad part about what Detroit is turning into.Reservation was 8:15pm, seated at 9:50pm...drinks took a while, food was staggered out, plates are definitely not shareable.
Read reviews and book now. This place is an Asian-fusion restaurant in downtown Detroit. I politely asked the waiter not once but twice if it was in fact made without gluten and shellfish. Motion get the feeling that the entire staff from manage my to chef to kitchen staff and servers, everyone seems to work well together like a well oiled machine to ensure a great experience. I am a hardcore foodie and very particular. Highly recommend! It was an amazing experience. Everything I dine there, I try something new and have marveled at each dish.
