The remix of Carouselambra on there (called The Epic) is a totally different beast. The song has three distinct parts: the first is incessantly fast and keyboard-driven; the second a slower, more bluesy guitar interlude; while the final section employs more bubbly keyboards that play into the fadeout. The title refers to the first section of the song that has similarities to carousel music. It's pure conjecture, but entirely possible that after fences were mended the song's meaning was something the band wanted to leave behind, along with so many painful memories. It was embedded as a medley in one of the songs. I play bass, and always knew it was a good bass-line, but my attention always gets focused to-wards the keyboards and guitar. Even though the song is not dominated by guitar, Jimmy Page adds color with his Gibson double neck, the only time the instrument was actually employed in the studio.
