It is a must have album,whether you are a fusion,Alphonse Mouzon,Rit,Henry Davis,or Tommy Bolin fan. Guitarists Tommy Bolin, Jay Graydon and Lee Ritenour are into the mood, keyboardist Jerry Peters adding his jazz vibe and bassist Henry Davis keeping things nicely fastened and bolted. What we have here is a 70's jazzrock gem, kind of a little brother to Cobham's Spectrum. Mind Transplant by Alphonse Mouzon is a Classic jazz/fusion albums.

I found myself focused on Mouzon’s incredible technique throughout the set list, after all, it’s his solo outing and he is certainly not timid nor shy.

It features not only the great Alphonse Mouzon on drums and keyboards, but a stellar cast of musicians,guitarists Tommy Bolin, Lee "Rit" Ritenouer, bassist Henry Davis, and others.

There is also one vocal song that I could have seriously done without (It always seemed to me that jazz fusion musicians would throw in vocals in hopes of breaking into the rock scene, with failed results).
